3d year Film Previs Art Dump

Whew! Third year is wrapped up! I thought it would be a good time to dump all these concepts I was working on during first semester while we were trying to find the look of our group film. All in all, I enjoyed the year far more tan i had expected to, and not only that, every group finished their film on time, despite the usual setbacks and delays. Possibley more film-related artwork to come, but I'm waiting for its online debut to happen (more on that later)

Taco-Sushi and 3D

I’ve wanted to do a modular riverbank after seeing a similar idea implemented in Skyrim. I have a huge problem with video game rivers just being a heightmap, so kudos to Bethesda and like-minded developers for putting some realism in their landscapes.
Heres mine: a (hopefully) lowpoly solution that tiles horizontally, which is based on the dirt, roots and rocks of a stream near my apartment. I’d love to deck it out with lowpoly foliage and cool water effects, but I should wait until I have some actual free time to do so. This was a lot of fun to finish!
Also, I’ve wanted to make taco sushi for a while- so much so that I had to paint it.

portrait shenanigans

This was just a bit of fun- some experimentation with flesh tones ( my nemesis) and fancy brushes.

Layouts

These are layouts for an upcoming animation I’m working on. I’ll definitely need to work on brush economy in the future, as well as detailing and texture. Plotting out all the graphic aspects were fun and challenging. I hope to be doing more of these soon!

Sketchdump 2

I felt a bit uncreative/unproductive today, so I felt it was a good time to post one of these-especially since I just finished off my sketchbook ( always exiting)
It just struck me that I don’t put backgrounds in these. Perhaps because as thumbs, they don’t read to anyone but myself. Ill go work on that...

This pic didnt turn out nearley as polished or readable as I wanted. Hope it still gets the message across
